Eileen and Margaret's First Halloween

Leenie the Lion and Margaret the Monkey

Eileen and Margaret celebrated their first Halloween on Monday.  Actually, it was a weekend full of Halloween fun.  It all started with the costumes...my dear, sweet, generous friends Erin Ferguson and Merideth Kelly really wanted to help me make the girls' first Halloween costumes and three weekends later the labor of love was complete!  Eileen made an adorable lion and Margaret made the perfect little monkey.

On Saturday we went to Sadie, Doug and Jacob Agurkis' house for a Halloween party.  Little Jacob is 22 months old and Eileen is just about his size and Margaret isn't far behind.  Boy, we have some tall girls!  On Sunday we went down to Olympia to see all of the Stier/Hood clan.  We stopped by Great Grandma Eileen and Grandpa Bob's house and then celebrated Halloween with a dinner at Grandma Trish and Grandpa Jeff's with Great Grandma Eileen and Great Grandpa Bob, Great Grandpa Bud, Aunt Becky and Uncle Wes and Uncle Bob and Aunt Ann.

We spent Sunday night with Grandma Trish and Grandpa Jeff and had a great night sleep in our new bed.  Monday morning we actually got to sleep in a little bit and the girls woke up ready for Halloween fun!  So did Mom and Dad; Rob dressed up as a cowboy and I was a black cat in honor of my childhood cat, CC.  The girls did their very first "trick or treating" at Great Grandma Eileen and Great Grandpa Bob's house.  Great Grandma Eileen was ready with Halloween presents for the girls (darling socks) which the girls immediately put right in their mouths.

Next it was on to a beautiful fall walk around Capitol Lake with Grandma Trish.  Grandpa Jeff met us for a quick picnic lunch before we headed back to Seattle.

Our next stop was to trick or treat at Grandma Cary, Grandpa Pat, Uncle AJ and Aunt Callie's office in Bellevue.  Eileen and Margaret were so excited to see more of their favorite people in the world...what lucky girls!

We wrapped up the day with a visit back at our house from Helen Robertson, the girls' nanny and Rob's cousin, her husband Steve and Aunt Rebecca.  The girls were wiped out from their busy day but stayed up just late enough to show off their Halloween costumes to our friends Merideth and Erin Kelly, Erin and Matt Ferguson and Gretchen and Tom Mueller who came over for our 3rd annual Halloween party.  It was a wonderful end to a perfect day.  Happy first Halloween, baby girls!
