Today we took the girls to see Dr. Sheridan for their 12 month check-up. They are growing like weeds! Eileen weighed 24lbs 10 oz (93rd percentile) and was 31.25" tall (97th percentile). Margaret weighed 22lbs 8oz (72nd percentile) and was 30" tall (90th percentile). Our baby girls are thriving and we couldn't be more proud of them. Margaret waved and smiled at everyone she saw and Eileen just wanted to explore.
The past month leading up to their first birthday was so much fun. They are really growing both physically and developmentally by leaps and bounds right now. Margaret started crawling and she and Eileen follow each other around happily yelping everywhere they go! It is so sweet to see them burst out of their room every morning into the kitchen ready for their breakfast. Eileen seems like she is going to walk any day now and is an expert cruiser. She can pull herself up on anything and has an amazing reach! She is one tall girl. Both girls love eating and constantly amaze me by how much they can actually eat in a sitting. They transitioned from bottles to exclusively using sippy cups with no trouble at all last week. The move from formula to whole milk went off without a hitch too! Margaret is quite the talker and can say "bath", "book", "water", "milk", "walk", "ball", "beautiful" and "grandpa" along with "mama" and "dada". Eileen doesn't talk quite as much, she says a lot of variations of "oh!" but she will point at whatever you talk about and will crawl to bring you books and loves to snuggle and read. Both girls still have their love of dogs and are expert barkers!
