I can hardly believe it but Eileen and Margaret turned 4 years old on February 11. Although they seem to be moving slowly at times, the days are truly flying by. The girls have had some big milestones over the past few weeks. Eileen and Margaret stopped taking their afternoon nap and are now sleeping in big girl twin beds (thank you so much, Care and PopPop!). We have successfully transitioned to "quiet time" for the big girls in the afternoon and a much better afternoon nap for little Hannah Rose without all of the nap time (aka playtime) shenanigans from her older sisters. Although I was really sad to see their afternoon nap go (how did my babies get big enough to not take a nap?!) I think it is actually much more relaxing for all of us this way.
We had a week full of birthday celebrations for Eileen and Margaret. We celebrated early over birthday bagels with Nona and Bompa and then on their actual birthday we had pizza at Zeeks with Bompa Dave, Care and Cousin Kate. That Saturday the girls had their first big kid birthday party with a few of their friends from Alphabet Soup at the bouncy houses at Arena Sports in Magnuson Park. They had a blast!

We've all been super sick around here for the past few weeks and are working very hard to get well for our New Orleans trip for Jimmy and Jenny's wedding in just a couple of days. This has meant trips to the doctor for our entire family winding up with everyone on antibiotics. With no naps the twins have been falling asleep hard and early, just after Hannah, and we haven't been far behind. The kids are troopers though and even though she wasn't feeling her best Hannah still had a great report at her 18 month appointment yesterday with Dr. Sheridan. Hannah was 32.5" tall (75th percentile) and weighed 26lbs (88th percentile). Dr. Sheridan couldn't believe how well and how much Hannah was talking saying things like, "Mommy, I need you" and "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10!" She is a healthy and happy girl!
