| Berry Kisses ~ Margaret and Eileen |
Today our baby girls turn 19 months old. Summer is turning to fall and our girls are growing by leaps and bounds. This past month I tried to keep notes on milestones or funny things the girls did so here we go!
- Eileen and Margaret love playing dress-up with Dad's belts and ties as he gets ready for work in the morning.
- Margaret loves hiding at the end of the couch and giggles when we say "where is Margaret" and pretend to look for her.
- Eileen loves organizing, stacking cups, sorting, and cleaning up. She knows which baskets are for toys, which are for blankets, and which are for books. She even helps put away diaper supplies.
- Margaret likes to chew ice with her front teeth.
- Eileen walks around on her tippy toes a lot.
- Eileen and Margaret love having an apple snack on their walks and they eat all of the apple (even the core!).
- Eileen must wear pants to sit in her high chair, car seat or stroller. Buckles bother her.
- Margaret is a water baby and loves to run through the hose when I water the plants in the backyard.
- Eileen is obsessed with any song that says "jump".
- We had to take the bookshelf out of the girls' room for fear of them escaping from their cribs and climbing it in the night. This meant we had to take the rain machine out too because once it was down within their reach on the little white bedside table they, especially Margaret, wouldn't stop playing with it.
- Margaret figured out that peek-a-boo is payed by covering her eyes (she always covered her ears before and said "boo!").
- Eileen says "shhhhh!" when you say anyone is sleeping.
- They love the elephants at the zoo but Margaret thinks the goats are a close second.
- They like to walk to Whole Foods to see "babies" and on the way we look for doggies and walk past their favorite fountain.
- They love when we put "screen" (sunscreen) on their arms but not on their faces.
- Toast is their new favorite breakfast. Butter and peanut butter are both acceptable.
- Ducklings and the Madeline books are their favorites this month.
- 8/23/12 @ 10:15pm - I went to your room to kiss you two goodnight and found the Eileen had crawled into Margaret's crib (right now we have your cribs pushed together). It was so unbelievably cute and sweet; a true twin moment.
- 8/27/12 @ 9:40pm - Eileen, I just found you in Margaret's crib again.
- After the 27th it was basically a daily occurrence to find Eileen in Margaret's crib during naps and at night. It even happened at Care and PopPop's house!
- Eileen and Margaret love playing among the trees in the backyard. They also love to run up and down the hill and play in the dirt. When they fall they just brush it off and keep on going.
- At the park they go down all of the slides, even the big twisty slide, all by themselves.
