Happy Birthday, Happy House Day and Happy Father's Day, Robby!

Eileen and Margaret wishing Dad a very happy first Father's Day!

I'm about a week late with this post due to our extra busy week but better late than never!  First off, I want to wish my sweet, wonderful husband a happy Father's Day once again.  Robby, you are an amazing dad to our beautiful girls and more than I ever could have hoped for in a husband.  I won the lottery with you and I feel so blessed to share each day with you.  Thank you for everything you do for me and the girls.  We love you so much!

Grandpa Dave (with Eileen) and Uncle AJ (with Margaret) came over to the new house to help Robby celebrate his first Father's Day
Cheers to you, Dad!

Father's Day was last Sunday but before that special day we celebrated Robby's 33rd birthday on Saturday.  For Robby's birthday he got a house!  6325 20th Avenue NE officially became ours on Friday, June 17 at 9:00 pm but since that was way past the girls' bedtime we spent Saturday wandering the empty rooms of our first house for the very first time.  We brought the measuring tape so we could start planning what furniture we will put where and the girls took their first nap in their new house.  They were very content and so were we!  We had the opposite feeling of buyer's remorse - we were absolutely ecstatic!

We spent last week going back and forth from our Eastlake apartment to our new Ravenna house meeting with plumbers, electricians, chimney sweeps and arborists while watching the big, old, heavy, dirty, dusty furnace make it's way out of our basement.  Now that it is gone we have an entire extra room for storage in the basement!  Getting rid of the old oil furnace was the big project we wanted to complete before moving in and we came in just under the gun...moving day is Monday!

Today we took the girls to Helen and Steve's wedding.  Helen is Robby's cousin and she has been helping me with the girls while I've been home (thank you so much, Cary!) and will take over as their full-time nanny when I go back to work on July 1.  Helen looked so beautiful and the wedding was a ton of fun.  While Eileen was napping with Robby I took Margaret for her first turn on the dance floor...pure heaven.  I love dancing at weddings and now I have two little partners to add to the mix!  When we got home the fun continued with Margaret rolling over for the first time.  Go Margaret!  Eileen is still working on figuring it out but she shouldn't be too far behind.  We finished the day with a wonderful walk around Eastlake with the girls.  We went by all of our favorite places (Pete's Grocery, our first apartment on Minor, the crazy houses on Minor, the secret rose garden house on Minor, the beautiful garden house on the corner of Lynn and Minor).  The sun was shining and Lake Union was sparkling.  It couldn't have been more beautiful.  We will miss you Eastlake!
