| Eileen and Margaret ~ August 13, 2011 |
Eileen and Margaret had their 6 month check-up with Dr. Sheridan last Friday and I thought I would send an update along with some of the beautiful photos from Margaret Smith's 6 month photo shoot of the girls on August 13. Dr. Sheridan thinks they are doing great and that they are happy and healthy baby girls (we agree!).

Eileen weighed 18lbs 9oz (90th percentile) and was 27.5 inches long (98th percentile). Eileen is rolling over front to back and back to front all of the time (I watched her do a barrel roll down her crib) and suddenly only wants to sleep on her tummy no matter how many times you move her to her back. She is being a bit more demanding than her sister right now and has decided that naps aren't as fun as they used to be. However, she has a smile that will light up your heart and an infectious laugh that makes me forget how tired I am at times.

Margaret weighed 16lbs 13oz (75th percentile) and was 26.75 inches long (75-90th percentile). Look out Eileen, Margaret is gaining on you! Margaret has been rolling from side to side on her back like a turtle but hasn't yet turned all of the way over again like she did back in June. However, she is getting really good at sitting up with her hands supporting her in front of her body (aka "the tripod"). Margaret is going through a very cuddly stage. She loves being held and when she rests her little head on my shoulder my heart melts. She is sleeping like a champ and doesn't seemed to be phased at all when her sister screams her lungs out in her crib.

Both girls are fascinated with faces right now and reach out to touch your face when you hold them or play with them. They also are enjoying new foods like sweet potatoes, apples, apricots and pears. They love to hold their spoons and "feed" themselves!
